Northfield presented with MIIA Risk Management Award for COVID-19 response

NORTHFIELD — In recognition of the efforts of town leadership to work collaboratively to address COVID-19 mandates and requirements, the Massachusetts Interlocal Insurance Association (MIIA) has presented Northfield with a fiscal year 2020 Risk Management Award.
The award was presented during MIIA’s annual business meeting in January. MIIA is the non-profit insurance arm of the Massachusetts Municipal Association, insuring more than 400 cities, towns and public entities across the state.
“I was actually pretty surprised,” Northfield Town Administrator Andrea Llamas said of receiving the award. “A lot of the larger communities have the resources and staff to do some pretty amazing stuff. So I was honored to be recognized really.”
