Greenfield receives MIIA Risk Management Award for commitment to safety

GREENFIELD — The city’s insurance provider has recognized Greenfield for its commitment to safety and its enforcement of the Department of Labor and Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) safety protocols.
The Massachusetts Interlocal Insurance Association (MIIA), which awarded Greenfield with a fiscal year 2020 Risk Management Award, commended the city for its cross-departmental safety committee that “carefully” reviews all workers’ compensation incidents with a commitment to enforcing those protocols.
“I was so pleased to learn the city of Greenfield received the FY2020 Risk Management Award from MIIA,” Mayor Roxann Wedegartner said in a press release. “As a municipality, workplace safety across all our city departments is a very high priority. I thank our staff for ensuring the city’s commitment to safety in their workplace.”
