WARWICK — Just 42 ballots were cast in the annual town election on Monday, which saw Alan Genovese take the open three-year Selectboard seat on a write-in campaign.
About 6.75 percent of the town’s 622 registered voters cast their ballots, with Town Clerk John Paganetti saying 36 residents filled out their ballots in person at Town Hall on Monday, while six voted early or by mail.
The moderator position was the only one that was not filled. According to Treasurer Beth Gilgun, there were multiple write-in candidates, all of whom did not accept the position. A moderator can be appointed by the Selectboard.
