GREENFIELD — Giving Tuesday was “just the kickoff” to the Franklin County Community Meals Program’s effort to raise $50,000 by the end of the year, says Executive Director Rachel Berggren.
Even before Giving Tuesday on Dec. 1, Berggren said the agency was raising money to provide meals to community members in need and had teamed up with Brad’s Place, raising more than $7,000 toward serving hot meals as it went into Giving Tuesday. However, that money is separate from the $50,000 the Franklin County Community Meals Program wants to raise during its annual appeal.
