The Queen appeared yesterday in her first photographed engagement since her husband’s death, just 10 days after the funeral of the Duke of Edinburgh, who died aged 99 earlier this month.
The monarch, appearing in seemingly high spirits, was undertaking duties via videolink from Windsor Castle where she was welcoming dignitaries to Buckingham Palace.

There were no signs of mourning dress as Her Majesty appeared in a spring-ready blue floral dress, three-tier pearl necklace and diamond brooch, holding a virtual meeting with Her Excellency Ivita Burmistre, the Ambassador of Latvia, followed by Her Excellency Sara Affoue Amani, the Ambassador of Cote d'Ivoire, who were both received via a video call from Buckingham Palace.
