The pandemic forced the Tedeschi Trucks Band off the road. But it didn't sideline the music — or the crew.

Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi recorded their pay-per-view streaming "Fireside Sessions" shows at their Jacksonville studio and at a farm in Georgia.
Even Derek Trucks is a little surprised at how good some of the songs sound on "The Fireside Sessions," a series of six pay-per-view online shows the Tedeschi Trucks Band is doing to keep band members and crew on the payroll until they can get back on the road.
The shows, which are being released on Thursday nights through nugs.net, each feature a different configuration of the 12-piece band. The first show, released Feb. 18, was played by a quartet. For the following week's show, six musicians played. Others will feature more players and one will have just guitarist Trucks and singer/guitarist Susan Tedeschi.
