The one hour and 45 minute rule looks set to return for indoor dining
It’s one of a number of hospitality guidelines set to be issued by Fáilte Ireland today.
Tables will have to be placed a metre apart both indoors and outdoors while the €9 meal rule is set to be scrapped.
The number of Covid cases spiked last time pubs and restaurants reopened at Christmas.
But Michael O’Donovan from the VFI in Cork says it’s different this time round:
"Back in December we didn't know what variants were but we now have a big vaccine rollout. And look, the big thing is by the time we get to open in July the governments have been very confident that by the end of June, they'll have 82% of the population first dose vaccinated."
