The indictment claims Burke and a co-conspirator used “compromised credentials” to “access and save protected commercial broadcast video streams,” according to the Tampa Bay Times. Following an FBI raid on Burke’s home last year, his lawyers argued he accessed the video feed with no username or password required. “It’s not hacking, it’s just good investigative journalism,” Michael Maddux, Burke’s lawyer, told the Tampa Bay Times on Thursday.
