Brendan Barry had a lot of options last spring.
The 6-foot-1 shooting guard from Fair Haven could have graduated from Dartmouth College and transferred to a high-major basketball program like Temple or Wake Forest. He was in high demand after making 81 three-pointers during the 2018-19 season, shooting 45% from beyond the arc and averaging 13.2 points, 3.2 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game.
But after sitting out last season following preseason hip surgery, Barry, 23, opted in March to remain at Dartmouth instead of transferring. He’s a loyal guy and wanted to stick it out with the Big Green.
