The Hug Detroit Family Day Block Party/ Concert Backpack & School Supplies Drive The Hug Detroit Family Day Block Party/ Concert Backpack & School Supplies Drive (Canned Goods & non perishable) takes place Sunday, August 28, 2022, in conjunction with an Art Exhibit and features live painting, free concerts and more. This FREE event will be held at the Black Bottom Park, 905 E. Milwaukee, Detroit, MI. This year's theme is “All Things Family”. It kicks off with a dance celebration featuring a collage of ethnic dancers. We will also host the Hug Detroit Day Spirit Awards at this year's celebration. We will be collecting canned goods, backpacks and school supplies.
