While the unemployment rate rises again, one unique business is adding hundreds of jobs with more to come in 2021. It’s a contact (call) center serving banks, insurance companies, restaurants but its employees are unusual – they are spouses of active military servicemen and women.
Military spouses don’t usually get jobs because local businesses know they will be moved on average every two to three years. This lack of stability is cited as the greatest stressor on military families.
Triple Impact Connections was founded two years ago near Fort Hood in Killeen, Texas by three West Point classmates who know military families make 25% less than civilian families on average.
