Fiji Judo Federation (FJF) has stepped forward to help curb the increase of abuse, rape and discrimination of children, girls and women.
FJF has started the year by inviting members of the public, especially women and children to join the sport to learn judo and especially the basics of self defence.
Federation development director Simione Kuruvoli Sr said plans were in place to use the sport to help people in their safety, develop their sporting talents and help them keep fit and healthy.
