The Daily Record received 20 awards in the 2020 Maryland-Delaware-D.C. Press Association contest, including 12 first-place awards. Among the first-place winners were awards for business reporting, feature writing, the use of social media for breaking news, best custom publication and best event.
The annual awards, which were announced over a period of several days last week, are based on specific circulation categories.
The Daily Record also won one Best in Show award which is selected from all the first-place winners in a specific category across all circulation ranges. The Best in Show award was in the New business concept category for the move to virtual events with Maryland’s Top 100 Women.
