PLAINVILLE – Following a rally in Bristol which saw wide turnout, Sen. Henri Martin is now asking the Plainville community to join him Saturday in protesting proposed gas price increases which he says are “regressive taxes” that will negatively impact low to moderate income working people.
The rally will be held at 10 a.m. at 136 E. Main St., at the corner of CT-10 and CT-372. Martin has previously held rallies in Bristol, Thomaston and other local communities which he said have drawn as many as 50 participants and received numerous honks of support from passing motorists. He has also collected more than 7,500 protest signatures toward his 10,000 goal in about a month.
