1. Health Minister frustrated at lack of progress in easing maternity restrictions
Maternity units across Ireland, including at University Hospital Waterford, are being contacted today to inform them of the guidance on the lifting of maternity restrictions in hospitals nationwide. The HSE advises allowing partners to accompany a woman during labour and childbirth, however restrictions remain in place in certain hospitals.

In a tale of two rental markets, the Covid pandemic has sent Dublin rents down while the rest of the country has seen prices soar seven per cent on last year. In Cork, Galway and Limerick cities, rents are six per cent higher than a year previously, while in Waterford they are 8.3 per cent higher.
