The 8 Republicans who voted to remove McCarthy

In a historic vote, the House of Representatives ousted Speaker Kevin McCarthy on Tuesday. After criticizing McCarthy for helping to pass a bill to avert a government shutdown, Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., and seven other Republicans voted in favor of McCarthy’s removal. Gaetz graduated from Florida State University and received his J.D. from William & Mary Law School.
