Foreign investment in Thailand rose to over 84 billion baht in the first nine months of 2023, with 493 foreign investors, a 13% increase from the previous year. The majority of investments came from Japan, followed by the United States, Singapore, China, and Hong Kong. These investments were focused on sectors like petroleum exploration, electric train project management, medical equipment and supplies, natural gas pipeline construction, and design services for automotive parts production. It is expected that foreign investment will continue to increase in the final quarter of 2023, aiding the recovery of the Thai economy.
