Martinez Fischer said he is still working from his hotel room while Texas Democrats wait out the Special Session.

SAN ANTONIO — Less than a week after arriving in the nation’s capitol, five Texas House Democrats have tested positive for COVID-19, including Texas State Rep representative for San Antonio, Trey Martinez Fischer. 
"It was a little bit of a surprise," he said. Martinez Fischer, also a father, said he had been taking extra precautions despite the fact that he is fully vaccinated because he has a young daughter who is not eligible for the vaccine.
