Texas Rangers plan for full capacity for home opener

The Texas Rangers plan to open Globe Life Field to a full-capacity crowd of 40,518 for their final two exhibition games and their regular-season home opener on April 5.
Masks will be required for all fans when not eating or drinking, the team said. Distancing will be enforced at concession lines and retail locations.
Certain locations of Globe Life Field will be designated "distanced seating" sections for other home games to allow for more space between seats, the team said.
How the Rangers reached this decision
Levi Weaver, Rangers beat writer: Rangers president of business operations and chief operating officer Neil Liebman repeatedly referenced Texas Governor Greg Abbott's decision last month to open the state to full capacity. Executive vice president of ballpark operations Rob Matwick pointed to the fact that Globe Life Field has been hosting events since last May, including the NLCS, World Series, National Finals Rodeo and multiple local graduations.
