Texas Legislature passes bill to protect religious displays in yards

Homeowners associations will no longer be able to prevent Texans from putting religious displays in their yards under a bill headed to Gov. Greg Abbott’s desk for his signature.
The Texas House voted 139-4 on Tuesday to send Senate Bill 581 to Abbott for his final approval. If he signs it, homeowners associations would be prevented from forcing people to remove religious items from their yards.
