The deadline to apply for the statewide rental assistance program’s priority group has been extended to March 8, said Kristina Tirloni, communications adviser for the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs.
The application portal at TexasRentRelief.com went offline at around 2 p.m. on Feb. 18. Tirloni said the state took it down to “perform system review and improvements” but did not respond to a question about what specifically triggered review. She did not say when the online portal would be back up.
