The Ottawa Hospital opened a new 40-bed temporary unit at its Civic campus this week, just as COVID-19 cases are on the rise in the city.
Construction of the unit, which is located in a parking lot adjacent to the emergency department, began in the fall. The hospital announced Wednesday that it is now open.
