There is good news and bad news on the Covid-19 front in Ottawa County. Our death total is now up to 72 deaths, up five from last week. However, there were only a total of 41 additional cases in the County in the same time frame. The incidence of the virus is considerably lower here than in the rest of Ohio.
The Ottawa County Health Department is moving forward with distributing the vaccine. They have received a shipment of the Johnson & Johnson “one shot” vaccines and are scheduling people to be vaccinated with it at Camp Perry this week. Over 5,000 local residents have been vaccinated.
