Tuesday’s county commission meeting resulted in the approval of several agreements and program funding, including $200,000 for a bridge project at Mentor Road near Gypsum.
Community Corrections will enter into an agreement with Missouri-based (health provider) Centia Health to allow a doctor based in Philadelphia to provide telemedicine services with clients.
Dr. Sosunmolu Shoyinka, M.D., will provide direct consultation services for two hours per week at $225 per hour, and consulting services for two hours per week at $250 per hour.
The pandemic made it difficult for community corrections clients to receive medical services, according to director Annie Grevas, who added that it was vital for them to have access.
