A 15-year-old girl and a 17-year-old boy were recovered from the water at Alfred Dock, Seacombe yesterday evening after their decision to film a prank video for social media went horribly wrong.
Emergency services attended the incident at 8:30pm after the girl, who could not swim, had gone out into the water with a bottle of alcohol.
As part of the prank the boy intended to swim out to her, drink the bottle and then attempt to rescue her all while being filmed by another friend to upload to social media.
As the prank started to go wrong, the police received a call.
