Cara Ewing-Mackie has scooped an Inverclyde Festival Scholarship in recognition of her musical skills.
The gifted 16-year-old - who attends St Columba's in Kilmacolm with twin sister Hilary - was recognised by festival officials for her contribution to the competition over the years.
Cara, who lives with her parents Sylvia and John, Hilary and their dog Bailey, was one of three talented youngsters in the area who scooped a £500 windfall this year.
The teenage singing sensation, who has also been playing cello since the age of seven and hopes to pursue a career in opera, says she is 'very proud' to be recognised.
