Decathlon Has Local Connection
Lindon Victor of the Santa Barbara Track Club begins competition in the two-day decathlon on Tuesday. 
Victor will be competed for his home country Grenada. He is a 2016 Olympian, 2018 Commonwealth champion and two-time NCAA champion and record holder in the decathlon. He enters the Tokyo Games with the eighth highest score of 8,539 points.
Also competing is Canada's Damian Warner, who has spent time training at Westmont College over the last few years. The 2016 Olympic bronze medalist is ranked second in the competition with personal best of 8,995 points.
