The Minister of Education and Technical Education in Egypt, Dr. Reda Hegazy, met with Italian Ambassador Michele Quaroni and his delegation to discuss collaboration in developing technical education and achieving sustainable development. The two countries have a long history of strategic relations, and Egypt praised the cooperation between the countries, particularly in technical education. It was agreed to sign a memorandum of understanding to teach Italian as an optional language in government schools, and the Italian side will allocate scholarships for teachers, mentors, and students studying Italian. The two sides also discussed expanding the Applied Technology Schools project and training Italian language teachers in Don Bosco schools.
