PROVO, Utah — BYU volleyball sophomore middle blocker Teon Taylor was named this week's National Middle Attacker of the Week after totaling 17 blocks through two five-set victories against No. 7 Pepperdine last weekend.
The Las Vegas, Nevada native had a match-high nine blocks against the Waves on Saturday, holding Pepperdine to a season-low clip of .218 in the win. Taylor also had two solo blocks against the Waves on Friday. Through two games, Taylor totaled 17 blocks and held a .643 clip on 14 swings.
