A lot of House-Autry Mill Tartar Sauce has been voluntarily recalled. Sean Marsala
Smelly fish aren’t the only thing to worry about rotting right now, as the FDA announced a voluntary tartar sauce recall from House-Autry Mills, Inc. The 200-year old company produces a variety of breadings, sauces, marinades, and other food products available in grocery stores across the country.
One of House-Autry Mills’ co-manufacturers discovered that bottles from a batch of tartar sauce have prematurely spoiled, rendering them a potential health risk. It’s uncertain what specific factors caused spoilage, but a pre-emptive recall has been issued to reduce risk for customers. So far, no illnesses have been reported.
