This is equivalent to a 91.93 percent recovery rate out of a total of 17,162 cases recorded in the province since the start of the pandemic last year. According to the Tarlac Province Covid-19 case bulletin, the province also logged 72 new infections, raising its total active case tally to 715 or 4.17 percent of the total caseload. The case bulletin also showed two new deaths, bringing the death toll to 670 or 3.9 percent of the total case count. As of October 11, the tally of Tarlaquenos who have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19 stood at 243,925, while the total number of those who have received their first dose stood at 319,419. To ensure the safety and protection of her constituents, Governor Susan Yap said the provincial government is continuously conducting vaccination programs, such as the "Bakuna sa Barangay Para sa Senior Citizens" and those for other priority groups in the villages. She also appealed to the public to continue following the minimum health and safety protocols. Yap reiterated that wearing face masks, frequent washing of hands, observing physical distancing, staying at home, and foregoing non-essential travels are still important to keep everyone safe and protected from Covid-19.
