The Taraba State Chapter of the Association of Resident Doctors (ARD) on Monday suspended her two months old strike.
Resident Doctors in the State had on December 24, 2020, embarked on indefinite strike action over what they termed as the government’s inability to honour and implement the MOU signed in September 2020.
Announcing the suspension of the strike at a press conference in Jalingo, President of the association in the state, Dr Gabriel Ahmed, said the decision was reached after several meetings, dialogue and discussions with relevant stakeholders in the state.
According to him, the congress of the association agreed to suspend the ongoing strike and support efforts at curtailing the increasing cases of covid-19 and Lassa fever within the state and its environs.
