TAP pilots propose wage cut

The Minister of Infrastructure said in an interview with Antena 1 that the Government will evaluate the proposal for pay cuts submitted by TAP pilots, to avoid further redundancies.
“We are available and TAP's pilots' union" have already made "a proposal that aims to avoid the number of redundancies that are planned with regard to pilots," said Pedro Nuno Santos, in an interview with Antena 1.
"We will make this assessment. I have not yet seen [the proposal], what I have been told is that a bigger cut is proposed and we are not closed to that, it is an assessment that one has to make, greater wage cuts to replace dismissals", continued the governor. "We are willing to accept the same conditions as those applied to Lufthansa pilots. The means of production are the same," Said SPAC President Alfredo Mendonça at a press conference in Lisbon.
