Chennai: An 18-year-old girl, belonging to the Vanniyar community, was strangled to death allegedly by her 21-year-old Dalit lover in a village in Kallakurichi district of Tamil Nadu. Police said the crime occurred after the victim’s family fixed her marriage with a man, who belongs to their community.
