After a time-out from the Latvian team, TalTech capitalized on their opportunities to open a seven-point lead, which they extended to nine before Riga took another time-out. A strong finish from TalTech and Kadi Kullerkann closed the first set at 25:16.
In the second set, Maria Säästla put TalTech up 9:6, but the Latvian squad was able to equalize the set at 12:12. A three-point run forced the Latvian team to burn a time-out. After the time-out, TalTech opened another eight-point lead at 22:14, but the team took a time-out after a three-point swing had Riga back at 22:17. TalTech was still able to clinch the second set however behind winning points from Peit and Kullerkann.
