Taking a public stance on the Bose controversy

And its echoes are being heard well beyond the Alps.
The crisis exploded at the end of 2019 with an apostolic visit requested by this mixed community of men and women monastics. It took place between December 6 of that year and January 6, 2020.
Three people formed the delegation of visitators: Benedictine Abbot Guillermo Arboleda, Cistercian Abbess Anne Emmanuelle Devéche and Canossian Father Amedeo Cencini.
They held lengthy listening sessions with the founder (Bianchi), the community's newly elected prior (Luciano Manicardi), and all the members.
After the visitators submitted their report to the Vatican, Cardinal Pietro Parolin signed a "singular decree" on May 13 that ordered Bianchi and three other monastics -- two brothers and a sister -- to withdrawal from the community within ten days of notification (which took place on 21 May).
