Taiwan shares end lower on profit taking

Taipei, Oct. 20 (CNA) Shares in Taiwan closed lower Wednesday as investors took advantage of the initial upturn to lock in profits, sending the main board lower ahead of stiff technical resistance at around 17,000 points, dealers said.
