Christopher Worrell, 49, has a new attorney.
Worrell will be represented by John Pierce. Pierce, a Los Angeles attorney, was part of the defense for Kyle Rittenhouse for a short period of time. Rittenhouse is the teen accused of shooting and killing two people during the Kenosha protests after Jacob Blake was shot by officers.
Pierce said it is an honor to represent Worrell.
“He will be pleading not guilty to all charges,” Pierce said.
Pierce declined to comment on Tuesday.
Worrell remains in jail. Prosecutors want him to stay there until he goes to trial. A hearing is scheduled for Friday.
