Suzanne Shaw smashes 19-hour running challenge to raise funds for mental health charity after booze and pills battle

SUZANNE Shaw has completed a staggering 19-hour run - without stopping - to raise over £8,000 for the Samaritans.
The singer suffered post-traumatic stress disorder after the dramatic collapse of pop group Hear’Say in 2002 and used booze and sleeping pills as a crutch throughout much of her twenties and thirties.

But now, 18 months after ditching alcohol and taking up running, the 39-year-old has run 60 miles in a charity marathon to raise awareness of the importance of looking after your mental health.
