Suspended Judge
MADISON, Wis. — The Wisconsin Supreme Court determined that Winnebago County Judge Scott Woldt should be suspended without pay for seven days for several instances of judicial misconduct, including holding up his gun during a sentencing hearing of a defendant with severe cognitive deficiencies who had broken into a neighbor’s house to steal underwear. The judge told the defendant, “you’re lucky you’re not dead because, if you would have come into my house, I keep my gun with me and you’d be dead, plain and simple.”
