The vehicle, which was pulled over just south of Saanich Road, was damaged from a prior collision.
Police said the driver didn’t have a required ignition lock in place after a previous impaired-driving incident.
The driver’s breath sample registered a fail, leading to a 30-day vehicle impound and a 90-day driving prohibition.
