Suspect in UNC Campus Y Vandalism Incident Arrested
UNC Police confirmed on Tuesday that the suspect in the Campus Y vandalism incident has been arrested.
On January 24, the suspect unlawfully entered the Campus Y building on campus and left anti-Semitic vandalism. The break-in and vandalism was reported to UNC Police, who issued two warrants for the person’s arrest.
Authorities issued an update on February 1, saying the suspect had been apprehended and was undergoing medical evaluation. With the suspect officially released from medical care, the person has since been arrested and charged with misdemeanor vandalism and felony breaking and entering.
