RUTHERFORD COUNTY, TENN. - Last year, a man was honored in Smyrna during a community fundraiser at a local convenient store. Throughout the day on September 8th, the Twice Daily gas at the intersection of Stonecrest and Sam Ridley Parkway, donated .50-cents per gallon for every gallon of gas purchased to the family of Nick Patterson. Over 14,000 gallons of gas was sold on that day, but what led to that fundraiser is still hard for friends and family to wrap their heads around.
