Survey finds that 60% of Ohio restaurants could close

Three out of five Ohio restaurants say they will be forced to close permanently within six months if they do not receive more government support, according to an Ohio Restaurant Association survey released Thursday.

The survey is the latest — and darkest — illustration of the catastrophic toll the pandemic has taken on the state's dining industry. The percentage of restaurants reporting they might close has risen 20% since the association's last survey just two weeks ago.
