Supermarkets are using a plastic "bags for life" loophole to pocket millions of pounds in profit as charities miss out.
Supermarkets are “expected” to donate the profits from the 10p charge to “good causes” and report sales and donations figures to the Government annually, but these rules do not apply to bags for life.
