SUPERIOR, WI (KDAL) – The City of Superior is planning to add a Coordinated Response Specialist to the Police Department.
At a press conference Monday, Mayor Jim Paine says the new officer would be responsible for connecting with local mental health, drug treatment and shelter providers.
The Coordinated Response Specialist would respond to certain calls with other officers to offer services and follow-up support for those in need.
The Human Resource Committee is reviewing a job description and request to fill the new position which also needs City Council approval.
