A lunar eclipse occurs when the Earth comes between the sun and the moon, blocking the sunlight from falling on the moon, which takes on a dark reddish or blood color. In Orange County, we’ll see a full/partial lunar eclipse/won’t see much of the eclipse. (Carsten Koall/Getty Images, File)
