Double Olympic champion Lisa Carrington will spearhead the exciting quartet of women’s paddlers selected to the New Zealand Team for the Tokyo Olympics Games.
Carrington, who will make her third Olympic appearance in Tokyo, was this week named alongside Caitin Regal (nee Ryan), Teneale Hatton and Olympic debutant Alicia Hoskin at the official selection announcement held at North Shore Canoe Club.
Given the success of the Gordon Walker-coached athletes, who have collectively snared 23 medals at past World Canoe Sprint Championships, expectations are high the quartet can make a big impact at the Tokyo Games.
