As summer sets in, the suburban and rural areas across the densely populated residential colonies and panchayats on the outskirts of Steel City are already experiencing water scarcity. The residents said as groundwater level has depleted upto 600 feet, pumping up water is becoming tougher by the day. The residential areas of Kitadih, Ghaghidih, Harhargutu, Bagbera besides the surrounding areas are facing acute water shortage.
