A Sudbury judge has awarded the family of a mechanic who died at a Sudbury-area mine in 2006 close to $2 million in damages.
Raymond Campeauâs family sued the provincial government, arguing a Ministry of Labour inspector failed in his duty to properly inspect equipment at the former Podolsky Mine, located north of Capreol, and that the inspector failed to follow up to ensure compliance with work orders that had been issued.
